Murat Ozturk Ph.D (c.) involvement with youth entails both academia & field experience. On the academic front, his ongoing Ph.D. (c.) work focuses on positive youth development, civic and religious identity development, and institutional solutions for migrant-origin youth.

In addition to his research, he has taught college-level courses related to youth community leadership, immigration, and minority youth. He has also co-founded and consulted for six youth organizations related to different cultural groups, ranging from Balkan Americans to South Asian Americans. Aside from academic and community projects, in his professional life, he consults at Wayfinder, an innovative EdTech company founded at Stanford University, where he helps develop Social Emotional Learning curricula focused on belonging and purpose.
