English Tutor (Middle and High School)
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or qualified to teach middle school and high school English and/ or Math, with proficiency in Algebra II and higher.
- Strong knowledge and expertise in the subjects being tutored.
- Previous experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably at the higher education level.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in a 1-1 setting and group setting.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
- Be able to work at least 2 times a week.
- Be personable and able to communicate with younger students.
- Be able to maintain patience and empathy when working with students who may be struggling with the material.
- Strong organizational skills to effectively plan lessons and track student progress.

We require instructors to be qualified to teach middle and high school English and/or Math, the ability to engage students, and experience in teaching, tutoring, training, mentoring, or coaching. School year shifts are primarily twice a week. More hours are available during our peak time in the summer when our campuses are open for extended hours each day.

Responsibilities:
- Effective communication with supervisors, students, and parents.
- Tutor students in small groups.
- Develop and tailor the curriculum for middle school English and/ or Math to students' needs and according to Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS).
- Track and analyze student progress.
- Review solutions based on students’ needs and understanding.
- Perform team-based activities as needed.
- Maintain attendance records of students.
- Organize and maintain the classroom supplies and environment.
- Ensure that all school rules, policies, and guidelines are adhered to in the classroom.
