Mentor Manager
Key Responsibilities:
1. Mentor Supervision & Support
- Lead and manage a team of mentors, providing regular check-ins, coaching, and ongoing support.
- Monitor mentor performance and help strengthen student engagement.
- Address challenges and provide solutions to maintain a high-quality mentorship experience.
2. Mentor Recruitment & Training
- Identify and recruit mentors who align with the mission and values of the GEM Advisers Mentorship program.
- Conduct onboarding and training sessions for new mentors.
- Plan ongoing development workshops and provide relevant resources.
3. Program Planning & Evaluation
- Collaborate with the team to design meaningful mentorship sessions and activities.
- Evaluate program effectiveness through feedback and student outcomes.
- Adjust strategies and offerings to meet the needs of both students and mentors.
4. Communication & Coordination
- Serve as the liaison between mentors, students, staff, and families.
- Manage mentor-student pairings and coordinate schedules.
- Communicate expectations, updates, and opportunities clearly and consistently.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- A passion for youth development and mentorship.
- An interest in shaping how we raise American Muslim kids so they can positively shape the future
- You must be street smart and book smart!! - or be willing to learn how to be both.
- A get-it-done attitude
- Have strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in educational or mentorship is not required, but a plus
- A good problem solver
- Friendly, empathetic, and dependable personality.. and reliable!
